Rustika
Rustika
Abstract study · 2026
Rustika is an abstract analogue photographic work rooted in the close study of natural textures and organic line. Created with a film camera and developed through the negative process, the image emphasizes surface, trace, and tonal variation over direct representation. Drawing from details found in nature, the composition isolates branching forms, soft marks, and layered textures to explore the boundary between observation and abstraction. The work reflects an interest in using film not only as a documentary tool, but as a material process for transforming natural elements into a textured abstract image.
