Winter of the Dead Dunes

Landscape · 2026

In  -26°C conditions, with harsh coastal winds, the scene becomes an encounter with weather as a sculptor air and cold compressing the surface into a smooth, shifting relief. Tonal layers drift across the frame like sedimented time: pale gradients, faint ridges, and sparse winter grasses punctuating the expanse. The dunes read as both terrain and abstraction, an elemental canvas shaped in real time by pressure, wind, and freeze.

Photographed using a mid-century Linhof large format film camera, ensuring exceptional detail and tonal depth.

Printed on archival Hahnemühle Photo Rag Baryta, a museum-grade paper renowned for its rich blacks and subtle gloss.

Each print is hand-signed on both front and verso, embossed with a studio stamp, and editioned by hand. Accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity.
